Evelyn Louise was born August 10, 1932 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Johnnie Mae Green. She attended Cincinnati parochial and public schools, graduating from the Old Woodward High School in 1950. Evelyn graduated from Harlem Hospital School of Nursing in New York City as a Professional Registered Nurse in 1954.
Evelyn married Henry Johnson Alexander, who preceded her in death and was blessed with three children, Vivian Michele, Gregory Johnson and Evelyn Denise. Her daughter Vivian Michele (Harry) Jackson also preceded her in death.
Under the pastorate of the late Bishop Jasper J. Phillips, Evelyn was baptized in Jesus name on March 3, 1973. She received the Holy Ghost on March 30, 1973 at Zion Temple First Pentecostal Church and there is where she maintained an active role in the Body of Christ until July 2011 when she transferred her membership to Bethlehem Temple located in Middletown, OH under the pastorate of Elder Roger Smith.
Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, of Silver Springs, MD; son, Gregory Johnson Alexander of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Evelyn Denise Yates (Fletcher) of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren, Joni Michelle Jackson, Elizabeth Roundtree Jackson, Robert Louis Alexander (Ashley), Sean Tyler Yates, Evan Michael Yates and Kimberly Nicole Alexander; great grandchildren, Madyx Matthew Alexander, Ava Ambria Yates and Jaden Morgan Alexander; one nephew; three nieces; one confidante and friends, Lillie M. Alexander and a host of Saints and associates.
