Robert Cole was born in Cincinnati, Ohio June 11,1957 to the late Cassie L Collins and James Collins.
Growing up in Cincinnati and graduating from Taft High School and earning a business degree at University of Cincinnati, Robert was quite familiar with the city and began his career in retail downtown with Save Discount for several years and later opening several Beauty supply stores around the city known as Hair Care Specialties.
His love for travel took him into the sales and distribution side of the business and relocated to Nashville, TN were he began a new career in sales for Standard Distributors and earned several top sales awards while with the company. Robert returned to Cincinnati to claim the love of his life Michele and she joined him in Nashville where they were married and remained for several years before deciding to return home to Cincinnati to be closer to elderly family members. He rekindled his love for retail and went back into management with Dollar Tree then AT HOME store as Store Director until his death.
Robert was always a quiet man that worked hard to provide for his family. But when he took the time to relax, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife, Michele and spending time with his family and sometimes just sitting around with his favorite snacks.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Cassie L Collins and James Collins, sisters, Dorothy Scruggs of Paris, KY, Donna Collins of Cincinnati, OH; brother, James “Jimmy Cole of Cincinnati OH and his, mother-in-love, Lillian Jones.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Michele Cole and brothers- in-law, Jeffery Jones and Stephen Jones of Cincinnati, OH. Robert was truly a family guy and excellent example of a family man raising two daughters, Shavona Parrish of Nashville, TN and Damisha Carter of Cincinnati, OH and one son, Waymon West of Nashville, TN. Robert was the greatest "PawPaw to seven grandchildren, Matiya Parrish, Sayvon Parrish, Damya Flowers, Kenyon West, Amare West, Waymon West and Tianna West and one great grandson, Karson Flowers and daughter- in- law, Tiandrea Watkins. He will truly be missed by them all.
Robert is also survived by his sisters, Cheryl Cole and Shelia Collins of Cincinnati, OH; one brother, James Collins of Lexington, KY; nephew, Shaun Collins of Cincinnati, OH; Kara Gilbert, niece of Cincinnati, OH; Ashanti Collins, great niece of Cincinnati, OH and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles as well as a number of coworkers and friends as he was admired by so many.
