Patricia Williams-Wise Obituary

Patricia Williams-Wise affectionately known as Pat was born on December 9, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She departed this earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2023.

Pat allowed the Lord to guide her in all aspects of life. Her caring heart and charitable drive saturated the souls of many. Mrs. Patricia Williams-Wise most favorable traits were her generosity, nurturing spirit, and zestful personality where she spoke her mind with love. In her spare time, she would want you to make her a cup of coffee, while she stirred her spoon to the hum of the song she had on her heart. You’d pour the cup as she poured into you; sharing her wisdoms, emphasizing “the Lord will make a way.”

Mrs. Williams-Wise worked as a nurse’s aide providing her much peace and opportunity to live her passion of helping and guiding those her path crossed. She was an outstanding member of her community giving more than 60 years of membership and service at First Baptist Church of Woodlawn. She breathed life into her service and stewardship in her family, church home and various communities.

Mrs. Williams-Wise served in the following committees and organizations at First Baptist Church of Woodlawn:  Honored Church Mother • President of Missionary Board • Member of Board of Trustees (served most all positions) • Children’s Church Coordinator and Teacher • Music Ministry and Choir Member • Church Stewardship and Janitorial Service • Hospitality and Food Committee • Special Events Committee Leader • VBS Committee • Food Pantry • Community Outreach Leader

Outside of the church Pat continued volunteering as a Vineyard Cincinnati Healing Center food and clothing volunteer for more than 15 years.  In recent years she developed an intense love of Big Bang Theory. A woman who knew what she liked and didn't like to eat, just don't make the mistake of bringing her Chipotle.  And on your way to McDonald's or Steak & Shake you better hope the ice cream machine is fully operational.

Every member of this family is who we are because of our mother. She would tie knots in every bag, knots only she could undo. Symbolic of how our mother led this family, tying us together for eternity. Deepest gratitude for all she has provided, we are all thankful our mother is no longer in pain and is now resting in Heaven. We will always have her in our hearts and her love and wisdom will continue to guide our actions. The pain of missing will turn to a drive to continue living the lives she expects of us all.

Her beloved husband, Joe preceded her in death in 2014. Pat was a true matriarch of the family and is survived by her children: Diane Thomas-Joy, Charles (Dawn), Darryl (Amy), Anthony, Andre (Emma) and Marquita “Nickie” Wilson-Davis. Pat is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
