Leonard Watson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 5, 1949 , the son of John and Evelyn Watson. He departed this life on December 7, 2023 into the arms of The Lord.
He was raised with his two brothers in his beloved community of Avondale. Leonard graduated from Annunciation Elementary School and St. Xavier High School.
He attended The University of Cincinnati, where he majored in business, before entering the corporate world. Leonard worked in corporate America for many years in Chicago, Illinois and Palo Alto, California prior to moving back to Cincinnati more than 20 years ago.
Following years of work in the restaurant management industry, Leonard established and served as President of Vero Security Group, specializing in cutting edge security systems design, installation and more. Leonard also touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving a lasting legacy serving as a mentor, providing guidance to those in need.
Leonard was a devoted husband to his wife, Jo Ann Roszmann for the past 20 years. He enjoyed traveling with JoAnn as well as participating in many sports, including golf, basketball, wrestling and football. Leonard was also an accomplished pianist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Evelyn Watson and oldest brother, Dr. Ralph E. Watson Sr.
Leonard's memory will forever be cherished by his wife, JoAnn; his brother, Raymond "Ray" (Debra) Watson; niece, Nicole (Tyree) Nightingale of Nashville, TN; nephew Jonathan Watson of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Demetria Watson of Pearland, TX; niece, Monifa Watson of New York, NY., along with a host of other relatives and close friends. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
