Deasia Dominique Wynn came into this world on June 26, 1997, in Cincinnati Ohio full of curiosity, energy and excitement! Unfortunately, on October 19, 2023, at the young age of 26, Deasia tragically left this earth but was lovingly received into the arms of her Heavenly Father. She had accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was a member of Total Restoration Ministries in Fairfield, Ohio. Her spiritual gifts included Praise Dance, Mime Ministry and Drama Ministries.
Deasia attended Cameron Park Elementary School, Winton Woods Junior High School and Winton Woods High School. She also attended Scarlet Oaks where she was in ROTC and also received a certificate in Culinary Arts. She was extremely active in all areas of sports, especially in basketball where she starred as a point guard and shooting guard both in high school and AAU basketball. Because of her love for the game and youth, Deasia founded and coached her own community basketball team.
Deasia earned a collegiate basketball scholarship at Miami University – Hamilton and continued playing at The Ohio State University – Mansfield Ohio. She received her associate degree in general studies and was currently planning on continuing her education in nursing.
Anyone who knew Deasia knew her first for her smile! She had a loving personality, a big heart and was extremely giving. She was known for being LOUD in a loving way, extremely protective of her family and had a strong, intelligent yet unforgettable personality. She was always a peacemaker and was quick to try to resolve any issues if she could. While naïve in some areas, she knew a little bit about everything! She always received people with a hug and when visiting others, she would spend quality time with those she loved.
Deasia loved FAMILY and was very family oriented. She wanted to continue to be a blessing to her parents. She wanted the family to come together as one. Her brothers described her as outgoing, curious, courageous, beautiful, kindhearted, funny, selfless, trustworthy, loving, LOUD, sensitive, crazy and goofy.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Gwendolyn Scott and Carolyn Wynn.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Trina Scott Harris; her dad, Markus Harris; her daddy, Charles Wynn Sr.; her brothers, Devon Joy, Chuck Wynn Jr., Tra’mar Harris and Jayden Harris; her niece, Aryia Wynn; her grandparents, Bruce (Jennifer) Scott and Nancy Stroud and her great grandfather, Virgil Scott.
She will be missed by her uncles, Byron (Candace “Keke”) Scott, Antwane (Betsey) Scott, Joseph (Leslie) Wynn and Vincent Stroud; her aunts, Constance Stroud, Chrystal Broyles and Veronica Fletcher and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.
Deasia Dominique Wynn was all that and more….and in her own words “That’s what’s UP.”
