Claudette Mildred Bryant was born on Jan. 5, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mary Kathryn Crosswhite and Paul Bryant. She departed this life on September 28, 2016.
Mary married Ellsworth Crosswhite when Claudette was four years old. He was a loving father to Claudette until his death in 1963. She graduated from Central High School in Cincinnati and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music. Claudette was a kind, considerate and loving person who deeply loved God and her family. She brought joy and happiness to all who knew her. She made anyone in her presence feel comfortable and welcome. Claudette, who loved to sing, enjoyed exotic foods and listening to music.
Claudette wanted to help others in need, especially the homeless. She would often talk about how she would help others if she were able to do so. She loved to travel and went with her family on several cruises over the years. We are grateful to God to have had her in our lives. We will always cherish our memories of her and never forget her beautiful smile and kind ways. She was a loving sister, a cherished aunt and a wonderful cousin. Claudette will be missed by everyone. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Katherine Crosswhite. She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Margo Cooper and Marilyn Cherry; her brother, Robert (Juanita) Crosswhite ; one nephew, Christopher Crosswhite; eight nieces, Tonya Cooper, Gina Cooper of Los Angeles, Calif., Monique Cherry, Sheila Booker, Sedette Davis, Shannon Ellison of Louisville, KY.,
Courtney Lee and Singleton Conyers of Las Vegas, Nevada; two cousins, Charlene Holliday and Karen Dial. She will also be greatly missed by a host of great nieces, nephews and friends.
