Obituary

Walter James Arrington Sr. was born January 20, 1934 in Hopewell, Alabama to the union of Richard and Annie Mae Arrington. His fight was over on March 9, 2014 , as he was called home to be with the Lord. Walter, who was born the oldest of six , was a loving, loyal, honest and straight -forward family man. He moved to Cincinnati with his family at the age of 18 to search for a better life. In 1954, he met and married the love of his life, Vivian Mildred Craig. Their union was blessed with one daughter and three sons. In 1958, under Christian experience, Walter joined Willing Spirit Baptist Church under the leadership of his pastor and father-in-law Rev. Robert E. Craig. Walter sang in the choir for many years and answered the call to join the Willing Spirit Deacon Board in 1974. He served on the board until his passing. Walter worked as a molder at Buckeye Foundry for 28 years until he retired in ent in 1980. He was known for his stylish dress, wonderful cologne and kind smile. He made many friends with his "say -what- you- mean " and mean- what -you -say demeanor." He also had a knack for making people feel as through he was their best friend. He enjoyed spending his time reading his bible, watching movies, playing his guitar and singing or listening to his favorite gospel tunes. But more than anything, Walter loved his family. He always put his family first in his life and made sure they stayed together. He lived his life by the Lord's "Do unto others as you will have them do unto you," commandment.
