IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sherman Bates
Pritchett
May 1, 1955 – October 29, 2023
Sherman Bates Pritchett was born May 1, 1955 in Lincoln Heights, Ohio, to the late William F. and Dora L. Pritchett. He was the youngest son of seven children in which four (William Pritchett, Jr. (Ann), Georgiana "Jo" Pritchett, Shirley Daniels (James), and Jean Alice Pritchett) preceded him in death.
He graduated from Princeton High School and Scarlet Oaks in 1974. He was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweetheart, Pauline Pritchett on January 10, 1976, and during their 47 years of marriage were blessed with 3 daughters; Lena, Londa, and Maine, whom he loved with all his heart.
He worked for 35 years at PMC Specialties (formally Sherwin Williams) as a maintenance mechanic and machine operator. He was an all-around every day handy man, that could fix just about any and everything.
He enjoyed watching and talking about sports, mainly the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds. However, he received the most enjoyment supporting his nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces in everything they did. He was always ready to talk, laugh, and show love to everyone he knew!
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Pauline Pritchett; daughters, Shalena Pritchett, Yolanda R. Pritchett, and Sherrmaine L. Pritchett, as well as his riding buddy Cash Money "Cashy". He also leaves many cherished memories with his two sisters, Gayle Pritchett-Brady (Greg) and Vanessa Pritchett; five sisters-in-law; Essie Mae Leonard, Elizabeth Leonard-McCord, Virginia White (Philip), Michaiah Israel (Dabar), and Rhonda L. Norman (Maurice); and two brothers-in-law; Aurelius Leonard, Jr and Bernard Leonard.
Sherman will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
