Roy Gregory, 51, was born to Roy Eldridge and Gladys Gregory on Oct. 23, 1962. .He departed this life at 12:54 a.m. on February 27, 2014 at Batavia Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Batavia, Ohio. Roy, a resident of Covington, Kentucky, grew up in Newport, Kentucky and attended Newport City Schools. After obtaining his education, he worked for many years at Radac as a sheet-metal fabricator. Roy's work at Radac allowed him to do what he did best-working with his hands. He excelled at work and trained many of his co-workers in the making of radiators. Roy was known throughout his life for his full , thick, beautiful hair and his warm, beautiful smile. He was also known throughout his neighborhood as the guy who could fix anything. Roy, who loved to tinker and also enjoyed building furniture, could also sew! He also loved to bowl, work on cars and play pool. Roy enjoyed giving of himself and any of his possessions to family, friends ...even strangers. Roy met his future wife, Benita in 1997. After two years of dating, the couple married I June 2, 2001. Roy, a kind, giving, loving man, was the father of two children, whom he raised. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy and daughter, Amanda Lee Hadden March 30, 2012. He will also be dearly missed by three affectionate step-daughters, Seneca Phenice McKinnis of Tampa, Florida, Chloe Dawn McKinnis and Shannon Camille McKinnis, both of Cincinnati and step-son, Khala Diree McKinnis of Covington, Ky; seven grandchildren and a host of great nieces, nephews, loving relatives and friends.
