Robert Eddie Lee, Jr. was born on November 29, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert E. Lee, Sr. and Eloise Sapp Lee. Robert departed this life on May 28, 2015 .
Robert . 71, was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eloise Lee, Sr.; siblings, Charlotte L. Colbert, Eloise Lee, Carolyn L. Lee , Joseph L. Lee and brother-in-law William F. Colbert, Sr.
Robert, as many know, was raised as a God - fearing man and spent his formative years at the Fosdick First Church of God. He accepted Jesus as his personal Savior as an adult and was heard on many occasions saying, "My God is a good God!"
Robert was raised during his elementary years in Fairfield, AL. He moved to Cincinnati as a young teen after the passing of his mother. Robert, who completed his upbringing under the guidance of his older sister, graduated from John Withrow High School . He furthered his education at Central State University and The University of Cincinnati, pursuing his passion of playing football. He received an Associates of Arts Degree in Medical Technology from Southwestern College of Business.
Robert was committed to maintaining strong family bonds with his extended family. He attended church with his family members and maintained close contact with his aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings.
Robert was a hard-working man and retired from the Laborers' International Union of North America #265 in 2005. During his spare time he enjoyed participating in sports including bowling, softball, tennis, and basketball . He took special pleasure in attending sporting events of his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
His memory will forever be cherished by his children, Robert E. Lee, III and Rebecca E. Lee; aunts, Agnes Graves, Margaret Bankston and Barbara Simpson-Dickerson; former spouse , Diane Hodges Lee; grandchildren, Marshall R. Lee, D'Alma D. Bradley, and Mariah A. Lee; niece ,Eloise C. Render; nephews ,William F. (Velma) Colbert, II , Robert M. (Lisa) Colbert and Jon L. (Tabatha) Colbert . He will also be dearly missed by a host of great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
