Ralph Alonzo Leach

Ralph Alonzo Leach was born on April 15, 1955 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of David and Viola Leach. He departed this life on February 5, 2026 into the arms of The Lord.

He attended Cincinnati Public Schools and Woodward High School. During his high school years he played varsity basketball at Woodward, where he graduated in 1973. He also attended Wilberforce University, Xenia, Ohio for a few years.

Ralph, who preferred to use his middle name Alonzo, worked at the Hamilton County Department of Jobs and Family services for several years as a case worker. He opened his own cleaning business, Heaven & Earth Cleaning Services around 1992. Nineteen years later he had a staff of nine and a dozen loyal private customers throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. He successfully obtained certification as a federal “preferred” vendor, which allowed his business to obtain federal cleaning contracts.

Things started out small but then he landed some major contracts through Jancoa with a large facility in Kentucky and eventually a government contract with facilities in Virginia. He worked hard at making both a success, oftentimes leaving little time for relaxation, family or friends, something he came to regret when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2014.

Prior to his illness Ralph worked out religiously and went out of his way to eat as healthy as possible. He occasionally enjoyed a slice of his favorite pound cake or oatmeal raisin cookies. A gym enthusiast, he once contemplated entering the Arnold Schwarzenegger Bodybuilding contest for people over 50. Alonzo was a hard-working, honest man who had a dream to have a successful business. He also dreamed of mentoring young entrepreneurs starting a business. Ralph also enjoyed working in his yard and adored his two beloved dogs, Zena and Serena.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Viola Leach. His memory will be cherished by his sister, Darnetia (Lawrence) Taylor; nieces, Brandi (Steven) Williams; nephews, Lawrence (Kayla) Taylor II and bonus nephew, Charles (Janea) Morgan; great niece and nephews, Nasir Williams and Nikaula Williams.
