On December 12, 1948, Patricia Stovall was born and raised by her loving mother, Gertrude Stovall. Patricia, affectionately known as Pat to everyone was the second daughter of three girls, the oldest being Catharine Stovall and the youngest being Barbara Duncan. She grew up as an active member of New Unity Baptist Church as a 3rd generation family member where she would sit on the same pew with her mother and grandfather.

Pat graduated from Withrow High School in 1967 with honors and accepted a full scholarship to The University of Cincinnati to start in the fall of that year. While attending college, she met John Palmer III whom she married June 14, 1969. From this union two daughters were born, Tracy (Palmer) Dillingham [Mike] and Robin (Palmer) Lynn [Kelvin].

In 1979 she met Sherrod E. Ice; after 3 months the couple later married on January 1, 1980 in a very small ceremony at her mother's house. Sherrod also had two daughters, Michelle Ice Halyard and Erica Ice whom she loved both as her own daughters. It was so ideal for them to have 4 girls who were all close. Between the four daughters there are 11 grandchildren with the last two graduating from high school this year, and 14 great grandchildren.

Pat spent the large part of her professional career working for Cincinnati Bell Telephone where she started as a Long-Distance Operator, after which being promoted to working in the Engineering department. She loved to travel the world and give to charitable organizations. Most recently, she started baking as a hobby and found she was great at it.

On November 30, 2022, Patricia "Pat" Ice departed the life she knew and loved suddenly. She leaves behind her husband Sherrod of 42 years and 3 daughters, Tracy, Robin and Erica; her favorite cat, Boo; her 2 sisters, Catharine and Barbara; her cousin, Debbie Smith who was more like her sister; 3 nieces and one nephew, a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat was preceded in death by daughter Michelle Halyard and by great grandson Jaire King Halyard. She was loved by so many friends and family members - some who we knew, and others we did not know. Everyone will cherish their memories of her and their time with Pat forever.
