Nathaniel Estill
Morton
February 29, 1948 – May 19, 2026
Nathaniel Estill Morton was born in Lexington, Kentucky, to his loving parents, Harry Jackson and Rachael Morton Scott. As the oldest of his 12 siblings, he always shared his brotherly love and protectiveness. Nathaniel graduated from Dunbar High School in 1966 and soon after, felt the call to serve his country, joining the Army and bravely serving in the Vietnam War. His dedication didn't end there; he continued to serve in the US Army for 24 years before peacefully retiring. After his military career, Nathaniel spent 23 years working as a postal carrier for the US Postal Service, retiring with dedication and pride.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Harry Jackson and Rachael Morton Scott, his siblings Rachael, Victoria, Johnathan, and Gary, and his cherished daughter, Kenya Glover.
Nathaniel's heart was filled with love and compassion. He leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories with his wife of 37 wonderful years, Lynn Glover Morton. His siblings-Edgar, Timothy, Carl, Paul, David, Peter, Mark and Vanessa-were always special to him.
His legacy lives on through his children: sons, Nathaniel Jr. (Trenay), Derrick (Trish), and Carl Wilkinson; and daughters Demetrius Overstreet (Gordon), Gail Coleman (Michael), and Khalilah.
Nathaniel's love, wisdom, and memory will always be treasured by his grandchildren, nieces and nephew, whom he adored unconditionally.
