Obituary

On April 25, 1973, Myron Keith Bullock was born on a lovely spring day to Marvin and Bernette Love Bullock at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.  On May 15, 2024, Myron took flight for his heavenly home to rest eternally with Jesus Christ our Savior.

From an early age, Myron displayed an encyclopedic mind for sports trivia and was an avid lover of Indy Car, Formula 1 and Nascar racing.  He and his father, along with his older brother Marvin Jr., attended many racing events throughout various cities.  These were always exciting times for the three Bullock men.

Myron grew up in Springdale, Ohio and attended Springdale Elementary School, Princeton Junior High and Princeton High School, where he graduated in 1991.  During his elementary and junior high school years, Myron participated in Springdale Athletics for Youth, which consisted of soccer, basketball, baseball and swimming.  In high school, Myron was a member of the "Pride of Princeton Marching Band."  He played saxophone in this very prestigious band that earned excellent and superior ratings in state competitions.  Myron was offered a band scholarship from Kentucky State University, Frankfurt, Kentucky, for his excellent musicianship.  This historically black university, like many others throughout the United States, has a reputation for being a spectacular marching band with all of its precision drills and dancing moves on the football field.  However, Myron had his sights on Hampton University, another prestigious HBCU, in Hampton, Virginia.

During summer breaks from Hampton, Myron worked at PNC Bank as a teller and fell in love with the banking industry, and its environment of congenial workers.  There was little doubt in his mind that this would eventually become his life vocation.  Out of college, his first job was with American Airlines; and later Myron took a job with Cintas as a customer service representative.  A few years later, he took a temporary position with Fifth Third Bank, where he was introduced to his "dream job."  However, he was unsure if that would ever come to fruition because he was competing with other applicants with backgrounds in banking, finance and business administration.  Myron, who was a math major, felt competent in his area of expertise.  So, despite the odds, his commitment to hard work, attention to detail and competence on the job, rewarded him with a promotion to a permanent position as a Default Specialist in the Settlement Department.  Myron earned respect and admiration from his co-workers and was considered an asset to the team.  He was also admired by the "team" for always being willing to help others without hesitation.

The Bullocks were a very close and a loving, adventurous family.  They spent a lot of family time together, creating lasting memories, while enjoying boating, attending sporting events and hosting socials at their home.  Myron had a kind heart, an infectious smile and a quick wit that made others feel at ease when he was around.  He has a host of family members and friends who will miss him tremendously.  Like many younger siblings, Myron looked up to his older brother, Marvin Jr.  They were extremely close and you could always find them during the summer, enjoying their youthful lives at Springdale Recreation Center.

When Marvin Jr. passed away, Myron and his parents lost a significant part of their hearts.  And sadly, he and his father buried his mother, Bernette Love Bullock, two and a half years ago.  Along with his mother and brother, Marvin Jr., Myron was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Myron's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him well.  His life was a testament of love and kindness.  He leaves to mourn his short life here on earth his father, Marvin Bullock Sr.; his niece, Yamari Bullock; his nephew, Marvin Bullock III; his great-niece, Jermanii Greiwe and great-nephew, Jeremy Greiwe.
