Minerva Bonita Wilcox was born on January 22, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Doris and Ossie Wilcox.  She departed this life on April 27, 2027, surrounded by the love of her family, into the arms of The Lord.

Minerva, one of seven children, grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Hughes High school in the early 1980s.   After graduating from Hughes, she juggled working for The Sears Roebuck Co.  in janitorial for 15 years and babysitting for neighbors and family.  Her loving, caring and compassionate spirit made her the perfect caregiver.  Her doors were always open.  She left Sears to care for her own children and to devote herself to her daycare fulltime.

When she wasn't working, Minerva enjoyed music, cooking and hosting family.  She was famous for her barbeque ribs, greens and potato salad.  Her house was always the family "gathering spot," Minerva loved life's simple pleasures… home, family, music, a little beer…and she was good.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Ossie Wilcox; two children, Rodney Allen and Joshua Harris; two brothers, Roy Allen and Ossie Wilcox Jr. Her Loving spirit will forever be cherished by her five children, Roniece and Tierra Allen, Terrell and Jimmelle Wilcox and Jimmekka Harris; 16 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Allen, Barbara Taylor and Sonia Wilcox; three brothers, Tyrone Wilcox, Mark Wilcox and Duray Wilcox and a host of nieces and nephews.   She will also be dearly missed by the countless families and friends that she blessed with her loving care of their children.
