Mary Renee Ashe-Thomas, 65 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at home in West Chester, Ohio.

Mary was born on September 10, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to her mother, the late Parthenia Ashe. She was one of seven children. She attended Woodward High School and later Cincinnati Technical College, where she earned an associate's degree in business management.

Mary had two sons: Micheal Antonio Ashe and Andre Eugene Ashe.  She was married to Maymon Edwin Thomas Sr. on February 8, 1985 and with this union she gained two stepsons, Maymon Thomas Jr. and Manquale Thomas (deceased). Mary did not have any daughters, but she made a special place in her heart for her niece Lauren Peeks and daughter-in-law, Jessica Ashe. She loved her family fiercely.

Mary was fun-loving, always smiling and laughing.  She always had a kind word.  She was the kind of person that could strike up a conversation with anyone and have them bursting with laughter by the end. She had such a positive and warm energy, it was magnetic, and her SMILE, simply radiant. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was also very creative and always found different ways to express it whether it was making beautiful jewelry or fantastical nail designs.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Parthenia Ashe; brothers, George, Herman and Mark Ashe and sister, Danette Ashe.

Mary is survived by her husband Maymon Thomas Sr.; sons, Tony and Andre (Jessica) Ashe; stepson Maymon Thomas Jr. (Tiffany); grandchildren, Mariah, Naomi, Dylan, Abbigail, Elijanah, Charles, and Arthur; her brothers, Willie and Darrell (Valerie) Ashe and a host of other family members and friends.
