Celebrating Her Spiritв?¦ Mary L. Battle (Mae) was born on December 9, 1946 to Elizabeth B. Battle of Covington, Kentucky and the Kenneth Strong of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mae was called home to be with The Lord on June 27, 2015. Mae, affectionately known to the neighborhood as "Crazy Mae," was loved by everyone. She had a reputation for being a great cook and showing everyone who came to her houseв?¦a great time. She opened her home to everyone. Neighbors looking for their children knew there was a good chance they could be found at Mae's. She was the type of woman that could make something out of nothing. There was never a dull or boring moment when Mae was around. She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth B. Battle and Kenneth Strong and one son Thomas Russell. She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Anita Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio), Micheal Davis (Florence, Ky.) Quincy Henry; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Cody ( Cincinnati, Ohio); one brother, Eugene Strong ( Covington, Ky). She will also be dearly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and very close friends, Johnda Lewis and Silver Lee Hall. Memorial Service
