Martha Patricia (Pat) Lee was born on October 14, 1948, to Clarence Sr. and Martha Louise Powell (McDaniel). From a family of ten children, she was the oldest daughter.

She had a loving heart and a strong love for life winning fights against cancer four times. Her smile was like the sun, warming you up on the coldest of winter days. She kept her friends ,close and family closer.

At an early age, she developed a love for reading that carried her through her entire life. She enjoyed traveling to far off places at the turn of a page. She also enjoyed watching the Bengals play despite how often they lost.

Pat started a family and mothered four children. She believed strongly in education and fought timelessly to enroll them in an alternative bilingual program that involved French and German.  Soon after she was able to take classes for an associate program.

Pat enjoyed working for the City of Cincinnati from the age of eighteen, until her retirement. From working in city records to closing ,out her career at the Cincinnati Police Communications Department. She understood the importance of service to her community and did so with honor and commitment.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Sr. and Martha Powell, her brothers, Adrian Powell, Clarence Powell Jr. and Andrew Powell.

She is survived by her children: Angela (Powell) Edwards, Celeste Lee, Michael Lee and Todd Lee; her grandchildren, Kourtney Swecker, Tomas De La Rosa and Nicholas De La Rosa; her great grandchildren, Aurora Swecker and Anastasia Swecker and TJ De La Rosa as well as her siblings, James Powell, Denise Powell Phillips, Theresa Powell Bivens, Steven Powell and Sabrina Calloway . She also leaves a long list of nieces, nephews and many friends and colleagues.
