Mark Anthony Wilson, 60, returned to his heavenly home on January 24, 2017, after a brief illness. His devotion to his family, friends, and his firm belief in God supported him through his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Mark was born in Cincinnati, OH January 10, 1957 and the eldest child of the late Mary Elizabeth Wilson and the late Arrie Lee Wilson. Immersed at an early age, Mark remained an active lifelong member of the Catholic community. He graduated from Roger Bacon High School in 1975 and attended Wright State University.
Mark was very friendly, humorous, and lively personality. He was a talented as a cook, caterer, and hairstylist; taking great pride in his work. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, and many friends who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with God the creator.
Mark is survived by his sisters, Lee Wilson, Jean Miller, Mary Wilson; sister in-law Charisse Wilson; nieces Jameelah (Lamont) Moore, Brittney (Michael) Johnson, Malaya Edwards, Aarin Miller, Ayanna Overstreet, and Accadia Wilson; nephews James Wilson II, Rodney Pierson Jr., and Vincent Miller Jr.; great nieces Marquisa Moore, Alyssa Johnson; great nephews Mazi Moore, Mael Moore, Levi Hopkins III, and Michael Johnson Jr. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Wilson, and brother in-law Charles Overstreet.
On Saturday, February 4, 2017, there will be a celebration of his life with a brief memorial and Mass of Christian burial. The memorial will begin at 10:30am, followed by Catholic Mass at 11:00am. These ceremonies will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 745 Ezzard Charles Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45203.There will be a reception following the Mass in the church undercroft.
