Margo Irene Williams

With hearts filled with love, gratitude, and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Sister Margo Williams, who peacefully departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Seven Acres Senior Living at Clifton.

Margo was the beloved daughter of Vivian Beulah Riddle and Rufus E. Allen Goldsmith, Sr. She was born on March 4, 1941, at Catherine Booth Home and Hospice in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout her life, she exemplified quiet strength, unwavering faith, and a deep devotion to her family and community.

At an early age, Margo accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at The Church of the Living God CWFF Temple #51 under the pastoral leadership of Bishop William Edward Crumes on Forest Avenue in Avondale. Following in the faithful footsteps of her beloved mother, she was later baptized in "JESUS NAME" at Apostolic Bethlehem Temple Church under the leadership of Bishop E. W. Young on Elm Street in Over-the-Rhine. After several seasons away, the Lord graciously led her back home to Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church on Hamilton Avenue, where she worshipped under the pastoral leadership of Bishop James Chapman. Even as her health declined and she could no longer attend services in person, her faith never wavered. She remained a devoted member, faithfully participating in worship each week through the church's media ministry, proving that her love for God remained steadfast until the very end.

Margo's greatest joy was her family. Her love was demonstrated not only through words but through countless acts of kindness and sacrifice. She lovingly cared for her first cousins while their parents traveled or tended to ill family members. She ensured every home she entered was left spotless, welcoming, and filled with warmth and love. Her nurturing spirit, gentle heart, and willingness to serve became lasting expressions of her character.

A dedicated and hardworking woman, Margo believed in giving her best in everything she pursued. She began her career at Kenner Products in downtown Cincinnati, where she developed the strong work ethic that would define her throughout life. She later found fulfillment in the commercial cleaning industry, proudly serving as part of the contracted cleaning staff at the 580 Building in downtown Cincinnati. Her diligence, dependability, and pride in her work earned the respect of those who knew and worked alongside her.

Above all, Margo treasured her role as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She possessed a quiet grace, a caring spirit, and an unconditional love that touched generations of her family. Her presence brought comfort, wisdom, laughter, and stability to those blessed to know her.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her devoted Friend: Julia O'Neal (Robert); her beloved Aunt: Thelma Henderson (Sam); her beloved God Daughter: Lisa Stricklen; her loving Daughters: Michelle Williams and Chiquita Lee; and her daughter: Arnette Williams, who preceded her in death.

She also leaves a treasured legacy through her twelve Grandchildren: Javonna, Shavonna, Kenya, Tiera, Cleophus (Kathleen), Ardelle, Kevin (O'livia), Channel, Dexter, John, Antwan, and Lexus.

She was blessed with thirteen Great-Grandchildren: Dominique, Javontay, Za'Juan, Ja'Diona, Saravonn, Anaiyah, Aviawna, Carmello, A'Delleon, Zyla, John, and Jada, and was preceded in death by her beloved great-granddaughter: Desiree'.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her precious Great-Great-Grandson: Kalias Hyman, along with a host of cousins, extended family members, church family, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by her love.

Among those who held a special place in her heart are Valerie Ward, Robert Dixon (Selmer), Toilynn O'Neal (Treigg) Turner, Travinna Petty-Brown, and Tammy Simmons, along with many other relatives and lifelong friends.

Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in knowing that Sister Margo has exchanged earthly labor for heavenly rest. Her unwavering faith, compassionate spirit, quiet strength, and enduring love will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.

Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy of faith, love, service, and family devotion will continue through the generations that follow.
