Madeline Ruth Moxley was born November 28, 1945 in Cincinnati, OH. She was the daughter of Margaret and Leon Johnson.
Madeline attended church at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Trotwood, Ohio. Madeline married Killis Moxley and their union was blessed with one son, Kevin.
Madeline was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels (1963) and the Union Institute - BA (1996).
Madeline was involved in a number of clubs and groups. Most notable was the Ohio Association of Colored Women's Club and Youth Affiliates, The Women's Alliance and Black Career Women (BCW).
Madeline enjoyed doing yoga and Pilates. She was also an avid sports fan. She loved watching tennis and football (her favorite teams were the Cincinnati Bengals and currently Kansas City Chiefs). She was also a big fan of March Madness.
Madeline started her career at AT&T in 1965 in Circuit Layout - Long distance engineering network as a Reports Clerk. She retired in 1999 as an Engineering Specialist. She went on to work at the Cincinnati Urban League as Supervisor of Community Outreach Workers for the Community Police Partnering Center. Her last job was at the Dayton Police Department where she served as Executive Secretary to the Police Chief, Richard Biehl.
Madeline is survived by her son Kevin and his wife Caren; grandchildren, Talesha, Ethan, Cadie and Dustin; 4 great grandchildren; Aniyah, Carmi, Chay Jr. and Teyshon and countless others who loved her and will miss her dearly.
