Laverne Jones-Hogan was born on February 6, 1945 in Cincinnati,Ohio. She died on December 26, 2023.
She attended Cincinnati Public Schools. After obtaining her education, she went to work for the General Electric Corporation as a cook. Ms. Jones-Hogan was the mother of four children, Steven and Brian Jones and Eddie Hogan and Charisse Michelle Jones, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jones-Hogan was a long-standing and dedicated member of The House of Joy Christian Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Todd O'Neal. She was active in her church as well as the College Hill community, where she resided. She was a beautiful, caring woman who helped anyone in need. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Kathleen; a grandson, Steven Ship.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Steven Jones of Cincinnati, Brian (Emma Washington) Jones and Eddie Hogan III.; grandchildren, Steven D. Jones, Randy Steven Jones, Chelsea Jones, Stephanie Lee Jones, Yasmine Wright, Javon Jones, Eddie Neon-Dre Brown Hogan, Briana Bentus, Avah Marie McDonald, Kaiden Blake Bentus, Renesha and Retresha Edwards; great-grandchildren, Saniya, Taneah and Taleah Jones, Dia Spear, Chye Brandeberry, Raine Wright, Imari, Aamilah, Eric, Wilbert and Niyleah Lee, Rodrick Meatchem, Re'Niyah and Rae'Mar Finch, Rae'Ontae Jeffries, Re'Asia Zanders, Quinton, Quavair Zanders, Key'Ziyah, Romello Turner, Damarion Capell, Retresha Edwards, R'Monnie, R'reonna and R'Montae Johnston, Larry Petties III, Royce and London Jones and a host of others who loved her and will miss her dearly.
