Celebrating His Spirit. . . .
Lamail was born on November 11, 1999 in Columbus,Georgia to the union of Melissa Naseef and Lamail Borders Sr. This charismatic and beautiful son and brother, accidently passed from this life suddenly on July 8, 2019 into the peaceful arms of The Lord.
Lamail was raised in a loving home with his mother Melissa and sister Kayla He was intelligent, confident, athletic and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. He was also blessed with beautiful eyes, fantastic wit and the ability to engage and forge a relationship with anyone at any time. Lamail also had the gift of laughterв?¦and could make anyone laugh!
He graduated from Conner High School in 2018, celebrated as "the fastest runner" ever to wear a Conner High School uniform. Lamail held the school record in the 100m and the 200m and was a two-time regional champion. He was planning to attend college to become a veterinarian prior to the automobile accident that claimed his life on July 8.
Lamail was loved by his family, teachers and friends. He was a solid student, gifted athlete and a very lovable and respectable young man. With his seemingly endless positive traits, he had the potential to be anything he desired. With his passion for animals, it was certain that he would obtain his goal to become a veterinarian. He loved good food, socializing, drawing, playing video games, boxing, tumbling and most of all hanging out and spending time with his friends and the younger kids in his neighborhood.
If Lamail could, he would tell us, "don't cry because I'm gone, but remember my laughter, remember my smile, remember my love and care- free style. Remember my heart that was giving and remember my strengthв?¦ and carry it with you. Remember I'll always be right here with you in your heart and in your mind, I'll be there for you to find. Remember the twinkle in my eye, remember meв?¦but please don't cry.''
