Josephine Wynne was born on June 19, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Ed Jones Jr. and Cora W. Jones. She attended Central High School and later The University of Cincinnati, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She dedicated over 40 years to the university, serving in various roles and making significant contributions to the academic community.

Josephine was a member of Zion Baptist Church for more than 75 years, where she served on the Usher Board and the General Missionary Society, as well as various other committees and organizations.   Zion is also where she met the love of her life, Charles Wynne. Charles and Josephine were married on April 22, 1961, and on July 3, 1974, they were blessed with a daughter, Montserrat Consuelo, completing their family.

Josephine enjoyed many interests, such as playing the piano, cooking, and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling with Charles around the world. It's comforting to know that they can now travel through eternity together.

Josephine's engaging personality was marked by her love for storytelling. Her beautiful smile and laughter, along with her gift of gab, made her a beloved figure in her community. She was always ready to share her experiences and offer valuable advice, demonstrating her love and support for her family and friends.

Josephine's love and care extended to her family, who will deeply mourn her passing. She leaves behind her daughter Montserrat, two sisters, Louise Watkins and Lorraine Freeman, a brother, Richard Jones, nieces Tracey James (Marcos) and Kim Amster (Bob), nephew Stephon Jones (Denise), and her beloved fur baby Maxi. Her memory will be cherished by a host of other relatives and friends, a testament to the love she shared with those around her.
