John Arthur Wynn affectionately known as Big John passed away on February 25, 2025 in Cincinnati, OH. He was born on September 5, 1937 in Newnan, GA. He accepted Christ in his life at an early age.
John served as a paratrooper in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1957. He often talked about his experiences in the Army. He lived a life marked by resilience, worked hard and loved his family. He had many talents, mechanical skills and a natural born ability to fix and repair things.
John enjoyed watching cowboy movies, tennis games, playing his harmonica, making videos and traveling back to Georgia to visit his relatives. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and lessons he imparted.
John was preceded in death by his father, John R. Wynn; his mother Sarah F. Wynn; his sister, Fannie Bee Brown and his brother, Charlie Will Wynn.
Left to cherish his memory: his wife, Elizabeth Scott Wynn; his children, Sharon (Gary) Estes, John A. Wynn, Veronica (Shaheed) Ahmad and stepson, Willie (Stephanie) Scott; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of special nieces, nephews, family and friends.
