John Douglas Brown Jr. was born on December 23, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of John and Clementine Brown.  He was called home to be with The Lord on Monday, March 31, 2025, leaving a legacy of warmth, dedication and love for his family to treasure.

John attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Hughes High School.  He married his high school "sweetheart," Brenda, following graduation.  Together, they enjoyed 61 wonderful years and raised four children: Pamela, Christine "Tina", Steven and Lisa.

For the majority of his career, John worked in manufacturing, beginning with Hudepohl Brewing Company and later for Hopple Plastics. A hardworking and devoted provider, John always put his family first.  As a new father, he took on a second job at Sears to ensure his loved ones had everything they needed.  In his retirement years, he found joy as a greeter at Sam's Club, a role that perfectly suited his outgoing nature. He remained in that position until the onset of the pandemic.

Beyond his work, John had a passion for bowling. He bowled in a league for many years and introduced the sport to his children, creating lasting family memories filled with friendly competition and laughter. His love for the game became a cherished family tradition that continues today.

He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Laura Brown; brother-in-law, Ronald, and daughter-in-law Bronwyn.

His loving spirit will forever be cherished by his children, Pamela R. (Mona) Johnson, Christine L. Brown, Steven D. Brown, and Lisa M. (Craig) Coleman; his brother, Stephen F. (Marion) Brown; his sister, Belinda Morgan.  He will also be dearly missed by his beloved grandchildren, Tiffany George, Donald Irby, Kami Brown, Krisshad Killings, Evan Coleman and Saige Coleman; loving great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and a community of friends.

John's devotion, dedication, and love for his family will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
