Howard Williams Jr., a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 4,2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by his cherished loved ones. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on November 19,1955 to the late Howard Williams and Christine Johnson (Elijah Johnson Jr).
Howard was a man of profound responsibility and dedication from an early age. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed abroad, demonstrating his commitment to service. Following his military career, Howard pursued his passion for skilled trades, earning a certification in Janitorial Training, Bloodborne Pathogen, and Business Enterprises. He applied his expertise with immense pride and precision as a highly valued Building Services Technician and Floor Specialist Technician throughout his career.
Howard possessed an insatiable appreciation for life's beauty and creativity. He was renowned for his exquisite taste in fashion and design, his deep love of fine cuisine, and his discerning eye for art. His flair for sophistication and elegance shone through in every aspect of his life, whether it was a meticulously arranged dish or a carefully chosen piece of home decor. He also found great joy in collecting beautiful things and inspiring others through his refined sense of style and culture.
At an early age, Howard accepted the Lord into his life and found immense pleasure in studying God's word. He displayed his love for edifying the Lord daily through praise and worship, often utilizing his state-of-the-art electronics to enhance his spiritual devotion.
Howard was preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Robinson Williams, and his sisters, Barbara Jean Williams and Betty Ross. He is survived by his cherished siblings: Ruth Whitfield, Mary Williams, Stanley Louis Williams, Paulette Williams, Valerie Williams, Jacqueline Wynn, and Rhonda Richard (Carlos Richard). He also leaves behind a host of beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends who were touched by his generous spirit.
To know Howard was to experience the unwavering love of a son, brother, uncle, and friend who gave so freely of his humor and honesty. He will be remembered for his strong sense of self, his steadfast loyalty to family, and his unwavering appreciation for life's finer details.
His presence will be deeply missed by all who had privilege of knowing him.
