CAREER: US Army, VA Medical Center, US Postal Service (Retired), US Army Reserve (Retired) Recipient of several military medals and postal awards

MEMBERSHIPS: Disabled American Veterans Commander, Dept. of Ohio, 2006-2007 American Legion

HOBBIES: Musician, collector of jazz albums, chess, genealogy

SURVIVORS: Miriam, wife; Thane (Charlene), Makeba, and Jamal Morton, children; William K. Morton (Linda), brother; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; Marcus Hurt (Ceilia), brother-in-law; Brenda Scott, cousin; the Simmons family; nephews, nieces, and several other family members and friends.
