Gloria Ann Simpson Rhodes born May 27, 1941 to Louis and Annie Bell Simpson Kinney. She was preceded in death by her stepfather James Kenney, mother Annie Bell Kinney, brother Roosevelt and sister-in-law Mary Thomas.

Gloria Ann joined Rose Chapel in 1965 under Pastor Soul Prophet. In 1995 joined Corinthian Baptist Church under Pastor KZ Smith. Gloria was on the Usher Board, the Nurse's Guild, the Free Store Ministry, the Welcome Team and went on fifteen retreats.

Gloria leaves behind: her husband Clifton Rhodes and two daughters Diane and Shelia Simpson; son-in-law Harold Jackson; one stepdaughter Sharon Rhodes of Oakland, CA; grandchildren LaTonya, Constance La'Sonya, Vinnesha, Precious Simpson and Kenyon Bodley; great grandchildren: La'Shawn, Shawniece Cockrell, Sharrony'e, NorReese Simpson, Wynter Peoples, Montell Rice III, DeShay Cunningham, Kha'Maya Bodley; great-great grandchildren: LaShawn Cockrell Jr. Shiloh Cockrell; sister Betty Sneed along  with a host of nieces, nephews, family, cousins and friends.

Gloria enjoyed traveling with her sisters, nieces and cousins. Gloria loved her husband and her family so dearly.
