Gina Thompson was born in Cincinnati Ohio April 22, 1954 to Wilbur Joe Thompson and Barbara McCollum Thompson.  She was the oldest sibling of five children: Micheal Thompson, Angelo Thompson, Vanessa Thompson, Carlos Thompson. On December 29, 2023 the Lord summoned her to rest.

She graduated from Hughes High School in 1972. She later went on to Thomas More Beauty School and received her Cosmetology License in 1987. She was a licensed cosmetologist for over two decades.  She was very passionate about cosmetology and fashion.

She had one son, Dale Harris and one granddaughter, Anahi Harris. She moved to Denver Colorado to live with son in January 0f 2021.

She had five nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was loved dearly by all of her family and friends; she was a great friend. It was never a dull moment with Gina. She loved to laugh and have a good time with friends and family.

She was the type of person that would tell it how it was if you liked it or not. She was very blunt. Her loyalty was unmatched to the people she cherished and loved. One of her favorite things to do in her later years was spend time with her granddaughter. This made her very happy. She never met a stranger and was very social and friendly. When she entered the room, her presence was felt.
