Obituary

George W. Childers was born on February 15, 1936 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana to Virginia Yates and George Childers. He graduated from Lawrenceburg High School in 1954, he then joined the United States Air Force.

He married his beloved wife Eleanor, who he met at a party through a mutual friend. They were married for 58 years, and their union produced two children: a son, David and a daughter, Piper.

George worked at Cincinnati Milacron as a machine operator for 35 years. He loved to play the lottery, barbecue in his backyard, and be with his family and friends. And he loved his red Cadillac and his favorite football team, the Cleveland Browns.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor; son, David and best friend, Larry Max.

He left this life to be with the Lord on Thursday September 21, 2023. He leaves to cherish his beloved memory: his daughter, Piper; his sisters, Arnetta Childers and Rita (William) Thomas; sister- in- law, Delores Yvonne Hutcherson; his favorite cousin, Gwen O'Banion and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

George was known as "Pop" in the neighborhood and will be remembered by the many he blessed along the way.

"I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands. But I will feel you in my heart forever."
