IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances
Webb
July 14, 1936 – June 7, 2024
Frances R. Webb, affectionately known as Mimi, was born July 14, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Raymond and Nettie B. Grissom. She was the 7th of 9 children born to this union. She made her transition to be with her Lord and Savior on June 7, 2024. Frances was baptized at an early age. At the age of 13, she joined St. Paul A.M.E. Church where she served as a Trustee and dedicated supporter of the church's mission and ministries. She was a woman of great faith who shared the good news of Jesus Christ with all she encountered. She was dearly loved and respected by everyone she met.
Frances graduated from Woodward High School, Cincinnati, where she was a co-op student at Christ Hospital. She also worked as an administrative professional at The Procter & Gamble company.
In 1974 Frances married David Webb and became a homemaker to care for her 3 children and husband. The Webb's later became the caretakers of their grandson Marlow D.A. Robinson (who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of two). They also raised their granddaughter Jasmine Hopkins from the age of 7 to adulthood.
Frances spent countless hours at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center, as a result of Marlow's years of treatment, and became a volunteer working with the children there as well as throughout the community. Frances was a generous and cheerful giver. She consistently sowed her time and resources to support various causes, including outreach and children's ministries. Her generosity made a meaningful impact on the lives of many. Frances was known to open her home to many children and families, making her the "Neighborhood Mom".
She was preceded in death by her husband, David A. Webb; her son, Jeffery L. McReynolds; grandson, Marlow D.A. Robinson; her dearly beloved niece, Melody Rasool Manson; her parents; brothers, Joe Frank Grissom, James Earl Grissom (Mattie), Charles Cecil Grissom and her sisters, Callie Jones, Clara M. Price (Lewis B.), Kathleen Hines and Mattie B. Rodgers (John H.)
Frances leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Anthony McReynolds; daughter, Chana Robinson; daughter-in-law, Melinda McReynolds; grandchildren, Jasmine Hopkins, Marchia Garvin (Belize, South America), Anthony Clark, Christopher Clark, Aujanay Garvin, Arayja Garvin, Akalyn Garvin and Masiyah Garvin; her dear sister, Martha R.
