Celebrating Her Spirit. . . .
Eva Lois Gardner was born into the family of The Rev. Louis Sapp and Minnie Mae Sapp in Rome, Georgia on June 23, 1933. The Lord took her home on June 9, 2015.
Eva grew up in Georgia, the youngest girl of 10 children, five boys and five girls, all of whom preceded her in death. She moved to Cincinnati as a young woman. She was in time blessed to get a job working as an assistant librarian for Good Samaritan Hospital in the Medical Library Department. She enjoyed her job for the next 25 years. She then worked part time as a cook for Cincinnati Public School s, retiring in 1997.
Eva married her long-time, loving husband Charles Gardner in 1974. The Gardner's were blessed and enjoyed a full life well into their retirement years. She enjoyed ushering in church and being a servant of The Lord.
Eva leaves to cherish her memory two sons; Stephen L (Linda) Sapp, Sr. and Gregory (Margaret) Sapp, step-son. Charles Gardner, Jr.; six grandchildren, Xavier Lamarqus Sapp, Lamarqus L. Sapp, Montez Irvin and Myia Spears.
She also leaves her niece, Evelyn Jones and nephew, Mac (Darlene) Martin , along with a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
They say there is a reason. They say time heals. Neither time or reason will change the way we feel. Gone are the days we use to share. But in our heart , she is always there. The flood of memories will never close. We miss her more than anybody knows.
Love and miss you everyday until we meet again.
