Dorothy Jean Hale, known to her family as "Dijean," was born on December 15, 1960 in Trailake, Mississippi to the late Thelma L. Hale and Albert L Hale, Sr. She departed this life on Feb. 3, 2014
Di jean moved with her family to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1970. After graduating from Hughes High School, Dorothy went on to work in management for Popeyes and White Castle Restaurants , where she was a dedicated and hardworking employee. Dorothy became a member of New Vision United Methodist Church in 2012 and attended weekly as long as her health allowed.
Dorothy will be remembered as being a caring, kind -hearted woman who never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Dorothy was happiest when she was surrounded by her five granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Hale, and sisters, Cathy Daniels and T. Deloris Hale.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Heyward Hale, Covington, KY and Demitrius Hale, Cincinnati, OH; one daughter-in-law, Elisha Washington; five sisters, Clarice Hale, Brenda Hale, Patricia Hale, Karen Cooper and Shiree King all of Cincinnati, OH; four brothers, Albert Lee, Jr., Eugene , Darrell and Larry Hale all of Cincinnati, OH. Dorothy will always have a special place in the hearts of her five granddaughters, Courtney Hale, Alexis Young, Shaniya Mobley, Nila Hale and Jelyn Washington. She will also be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews and her long-time companion Darryl Cabral.
