IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donald
Hudson
May 30, 1971 – April 28, 2024
Donald Hudson came into this world on May 30, 1971, to Celia Anna Corbin and Garfield Oliver Jones. He was known to many as "Cricket!"
Donald attended Washington Park High School in Racine, Wisconsin when he went to live with his Aunt Juanita Corbin. Later he pursued his education at Job Corps, earning his G.E.D and honing his painting skills. His final masterpiece was painting the home of his twin sister, Donna. Known among his colleagues as the "cut master" due to his expertise in rehabbing, Donald dedicated his efforts in revitalizing homes in the Greater Cincinnati area. In his later years, he served as an environmental services worker at The University of Cincinnati.
Donald was a phenomenal artist, effortlessly sketching anything with his boundless creativity. However, his true gift lay in comedy; he was a master jokester, spreading laughter wherever he went, dominating in the art of playing the dozens. During family gatherings, the sound of laughter and his signature laugh, always signaled Donald's presence, as he entertained everyone with his witty jokes and infectious humor.
His zest for life led him to traverse many states, including Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Florida, and California.
Donald was preceded in death by his mother, Celia; father, Garfield; brothers Robert Corbin and Jeffrey Jones; sister, LaQuetta Jones; grandmother, Chassella Corbin; grandfather, Jesse Corbin Sr. and six uncles, Jesse Corbin Jr., Gregory Corbin, Herschel Corbin, Ricardo Corbin, Christopher Corbin, and Michael Corbin.
He leaves to cherish his memory: children, Donald Devon Thurman and Veronica Celia Hudson; one grandson, Devon Thurman; four brothers, Patrick Corbin, Garfield Jones Jr. (Vanessa), Andrew Watson (ChaRanda), and Garfield Tafari (Chelsea); seven sisters, Chassella Harris (Kevin), Donna Harrison, Ethel Thomas (Cindy), Debra Jones (Spanish), Wanda Jones, Dena Freeman (Basil), and Tamika Jeffries (Alonzo); three aunts, Margo Corbin, Theresa Thomas, and Stephanie Satterwhite; three uncles, Isaiah Corbin (Christy), David Thomas, and Mack Thomas (Kimberly); Sibling-cousins, Tamara Corbin-Hearst (Tracy), Michelle Lanier, Angelique Julian (James), Catherine Lanier and a host nieces, nephews, family and friends.
