David Lafayette Daniels Jr., age 82 passed away at home on May 27, 2024. He was born on March 13, 1942, in Cincinnati Ohio to the late David Sr. and Elizabeth Daniels.

David, known to his family and friends as "Butch" was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a pillar of strength and a source of unconditional love for his family. Butch loved to tell jokes and show off his magical card tricks to any and everyone who would listen and watch. Butch will be remembered by the love and compassion that he showed towards others.

Butch attended Courter Technical High School in Cincinnati. After high school, he went to work on the Delta Queen Riverboat where he was employed for many years. Butch spent most of his professional career working in facilities maintenance for Cincinnati Public Schools where he retired in 2005 after 29 years of service.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents, David Sr. and Elizabeth Daniels; brother, Douglas Daniels; and sisters, Patricia Daniels-Colson and Phyllis Daniels-Blackmon.

Butch leaves to cherish his memory: son, Michael Davis; daughters, Yvette Brown and Monica Fannon; stepdaughters, Monica Cooper and Sunny Thomas; grandchildren, Marcieanna Polk-Wallace, Aaron Sisk, Totiyana Davis, Mykayla Davis, Antionette Fannon, and Troy Fannon; sister, Patricia Grayer (Finderryck); five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
