Mr. Dave Batchelor, Jr. was born on May 29, 1941 to Mr. Dave Batchelor, Sr. and Mrs. Loreace Hill Batchelor. He departed this earthly realm on November 28, 2023. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers: Nathaniel, Sherman Strayhorn, Arthur and Robert and sister: Willie Lou Fuller. After graduating in 1959 from West High School in Denmark, Tennessee.

Dave enlisted in the United States Army and saw active duty in the Vietnam War during his enrollment. Regarding this act, on November 26, 2023, just prior to his death, Dave was presented with a certificate and pins of commemoration for his service to his country over fifty years ago. In 1967, Dave returned stateside to Nashville, TN where he met, fell in love with and married Sandra Davis while visiting his brother, Arthur. Shortly after, they departed Tennessee and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where they were blessed with two children: son, Tracy and daughter, Nicole.

After a long career as an assembler at General Motors in Norwood, Ohio Dave retired but continued working in multiple industries until his health begin to fail. Dave (or David as he was affectionately called by many family members) was a loving and tender-hearted man of God who served the Lord in ministry. He was often observed sitting with tears in his eyes as he worshipped while listening to a song or message. He also loved talking with people and it could be said that he never met a stranger.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sandra, children: Tracy and Nicole; siblings: Mary Hines, Amon Batchelor (Elizabeth), Ella Mae Carroll (Odell) as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
