Obituary

Celebrating His Spirit . . . . . Charles Walter Overstreet Jr. was born May 24, 1967 to the union of the late Zeora Overstreet Manor and Charles Overstreet Jr. (Rashell) in Cincinnati, Ohio. On April 2nd, the Lord called Charles home to be with Him. Charles, who accepted Christ into his life at an early age, was Baptized at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist church in Walnut Hills. He started school at Rockdale Elementary School and continued school at Woodward High School, where he graduated. Throughout his youth and adulthood, Chuck was Mr. Fixit, he enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together, he greatly enjoyed woodshop class in high school. He also enjoyed boxing at a local gym and playing football as a youth. On May 11th 2012, Charles Overstreet Jr. and Mary Ann Wilson joined in holy matrimony after an extensive courtship. Chuck was a mentor in the community, coaching youth football and baseball for the Little Red Machine organization. He was a die- hard Bengals fan - he never missed a game!! Every Sunday was "(Who Dey) Day." If anyone came in talking stuff about his Bengals, he put them out! He loved listening to music, wearing polo shirts, and cooking. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and family man. He was everybody's uncle, lovingly referred to as, "Uncle Chuck" by most of his family and friends ...including some elders. Chuck had the biggest sense of humor and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He welcomed anyone he met with a huge smile and open heart. He never met a stranger, everyone was his family. He loved carrying on conversations, giving advice and offering his honest opinions...even if unwanted. He was preceded in death by his mother and father in law, Mary Wilson and Arrie Wilson; loving maternal grandparents Mary Almond Jackson and Rev. Early Dean Jackson Sr.; paternal grandparents, Margaret P. Overstreet and Charles Walter Overstreet Sr. aunt, Doris and uncle, Hakeem and a brother-in-law, James. Chuck leaves to celebrate his life a host of family: A loving wife, Mary Ann Wilson-Overstreet; his father, Charles Overstreet Jr.; biological children, Malcolm, Charles (CJ) and Ayanna; step -children, Brandon, Tyeisha (Coco); grandchildren, Jamie, Jiovanni, Dinero; aunts, Fennoris, Alice, Jeanette; uncles, Early II (Pat), Gary (Janet) and Bill; siblings, Trina, Tina, Rochelle, Charles; sister- in -laws, Lee, Marie, Tracey, Charisse; brother-in- law, Mark; nieces and nephews, Jameelah (Monte), Candyce, Brittney (Michael), Dominique, Malaya, Aarin, Accadia, Ziarah, Trish, James, Rodney, James, Jasmine, Andre, Jabaree, Vincent and a host of other loving family and friends.
