Carolyn Lee Parks (West) was born on April 23, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Richard and Annie (Sanderson) West.  She departed this life on December 18, 2023 into the arms of The Lord.

Following the death of her mother, Annie, Carolyn was raised by Olamae (West) and her father, Richard, in Cincinnati.  She accepted Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church of West College Hill.  Carolyn attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Hughes High School.  Upon her graduation, she was hired by   Christ Hospital.  She later enrolled at St. Francis Technical School, where she was trained as a surgical technician.  Carolyn worked as a surgical technician at St. Elizabeth Hospital (Covington, Ky.) and Good Samaritan Hospital, where she retired after nearly 38 years of service.

Carolyn enjoyed reading, loved music and was a true fan of Barry White and Tina Turner. She also enjoyed helping others and spending time with her family making memories.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie (Sanderson) West and Olamae and Richard West.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Crystal West-Hill  (Eric); loving brother, Richard (Ethel "Jean') West Jr; only grandson, Aron Christopher (Tori White, fiancé) West; niece, Gianna Fumi-Fiamawle (Joseph); nephew, Keenan West; two great- nephews, Quietin Fumi-Fiamawle and Josiah Fumi-Fiamawle; special friend and "sistas," Barbara Ann Long of Condva, TN and special friend for life, Albert "Buckwheat" Lane.  Her memory will also be celebrated by a host of other relatives and friends.
