Billie LaDeva Kimbrough passed away peacefully on September 4th in Lebanon, Ohio.  Billie was the third oldest of six children born to William H. Smith, Jr. and Alice Smith in Pittsburgh, PA.  She attended Pittsburgh public schools and graduated from Point Park College.   After graduation, Billie began a long and rewarding career with the Kroger grocery supermarket, starting as a cashier at the young age of 18 and becoming a buyer for the same company from which she retired after 55 years of dedicated service.  In this day and age, when so many people change jobs and careers multiple times, Billie was indeed the rare gem, loving the work that she did and the company for whom she worked.

Billie loved adventure and traveling, having visited Brazil, Thailand, Dominican Republic, and Japan in her lifetime.   She enjoyed making crafts and was the chief cheerleader at the Smith Family Reunion where she was co-coordinator and lead of the family scavenger hunt.   She was an avid volunteer in her community. Many who knew her also knew her love of football.  She was a tremendous Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a huge fan of Heinz Ward (#86).

Billie was preceded in death by her daughter Tracy Venice Kimbrough. To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her two brothers, William H Smith, III, Abram Edward Smith (Elizabeth) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Billie's family and friends take comfort in knowing she is now in eternal peace.  The family thanks the Artis Senior Living of Mason, Queen City Hospice and Optimized Senior Care Center for their help and support.
