Betty Jean Key was born on January 18, 1950 to the late George and Georgia Ridley in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was called home to rest on June 13, 2023.

Betty was the oldest of ten siblings. She was educated at Robert A. Taft High School. She later earned a certification in Nutrition and a Early Childhood Credential.

Betty was united in marriage to James Key on July 7, 1970 . From this union there were three children: Candace, Michael and Crista.

Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed cooking, selling AVON and spending time with family. She loved teaching children about Jesus and served in various activities at church. Betty will surely be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Candace and her son Michael; two grandchildren, Joshua and Sequoia; her parents, George and Georgia; a sister, Dolores, and four brothers, George Jr., Nathan, Joseph and Gary.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, James; daughter, Crista; her grandchildren Zyra, Michayla, and Ryley; her great grandson, Ny'Year; her sisters, Gloria Ann, Gwendolyn (Anthony), Tina and Susie and a host of neices, nephews and cousins, in-laws and friends.
