Barbara Ann Person was born August 10, 1950 at General Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.  She was the third child of Peter Cross Sr. and Euluia Nicholas.  She went to Cummings elementary School and Hughes Senior High School.

She was full of life and high spirited.  She loved her family more than anything.  She loved fishing, dancing, fashion and eating a variety of foods.

In her teen years, she met the love of her life, Nathan Person Sr.  They had two wonderful children; Nathan and Donta.  In her mid-twenties, she started her own business as a seamstress.  She stayed home and raised her five children until she went back to work at Cintas Corporation as a Line Lead. She also worked for Unites State Playing Cards for twenty years as a Line Lead receiving and sorting from 1997 to 2016.

Barbara never remarried.  She remained single and raised five children, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She was determined and had strong willpower to provide for her family.

On April 23, 2023, Barbara lost her battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends.  Her spirits remained high until she took her last breath.

She is survived by: her children, Channa (Ryan) Hodge, Corazon Briggs and Carl Person; six siblings, Darnience (Bruce), Martha (Franky), Ronnie, Peter, Tyrone (Joyce) and Danny (Verónica); 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two children, Nathan in 1991 and Donta in 2017; her parents, Peter and Euluia; two sisters, Mary and Hermaine as well as several other family members.
