Obituary

Annie Lee Moore departed this life on earth, Sunday January 7, 2024. Annie Lee was surrounded by family and friends as her health gradually declined. She was born in Chance, Alabama on March 28, 1937, to the late Andrew and Annie Brown. After her mother passed when she was 7 years old, she was raised by her Aunt Gertrude Packer, who raised her as her own Daughter. After she graduated from high school, Annie moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in the mid 50's, where she met and later married the late Eugene Moore in 1960. To this union, three children were born.

Annie retired as a Psychiatric Aide from Pauline Warfield Lewis Center (Longview State Hospital) after 30 years of service. During her time there, she developed long-lasting relationships with some of her co-workers. She was also known as the "Lunch Lady" where she worked part-time from 1976-1987 at Mt. Healthy City Schools. She always had extra nickels on the counter for anyone needing milk money.

Annie never met a stranger. She always spoke and waved to everyone passing by. She loved being around friends and family, played a mean game of cards, but her real passion was gardening.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters: Beverly Alexander and Sandra Williams (Stephon); one son: Larry Moore; three grandchildren: Fredrick (Trey) Williams III (Alicia), Kendra Moore, and Monica Williams; seven great-grandchildren: Zavier, Ka'Deon, ZyiMirah, Kayliese, Za'Riyah Moore, Juliette and Alayla Williams; one bonus great-granddaughter, Amiya Alleyne; one goddaughter, Sherrie Chappell; three sisters-in-law: Wanda Baggett, Carrie Kent, and Evelyn Ellington as well as a host of relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

We will miss her parting words "I'll be here", which she says whenever someone leaves. Her beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. God has gained an Angel. We Love You! Rest in Paradise.
