Celebrating His Spirit
Albert Fowler Jr., who named himself "Prince," was born to the union of Mary and Albert Fowler Sr. on April 9, 1928 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He departed this life on Saturday, June 1, 2013 to be with The Lord.
Prince moved with his family to Cincinnati in 1937. He attended school in Woodlawn and left the city to serve his country during World War II. He received an honorable discharge as a Private 1st Class. Following his service in the Army, Prince returned home and went to work for the Wright Plant in Lockland, OH. His other jobs included positions at The Seagram's Distillery and the City of Lockland, where he retired.
Prince was very outgoing and spent a lot of time entertaining family and friends. Everyone in Lockland knew Prince Albert. He never met a stranger. Although he did not have any children, he surrounded himself with his eight nieces and nephews, whom he helped to raise as his own. Prince was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Marian Fowler, brother-in-law Leonard Garrett, Jr. and a nephew, Kevin Garrett.
His kind, loving spirit will be cherished by his sister, Mary Naomi Garrett of Winter Park, FL; nieces and nephews, Teri Garrett of Marietta, GA; Reggie (Linda Nehry) Garrett of Seattle, WA, Dr. Kathy (Audley Murphy) Garrett of Winter Park, FL; Timothy Garrett of Marietta, GA; Robby Garrett of Cincinnati, OH; Lori (Franz Albisser) Garrett of Lucerne, Switzerland; Patty Garrett of Kennesaw, GA; great nieces and nephews, Hamadi Murphy, Harry Murphy, Kyle Lynch, Cole Garrett, Nolan Garrett, Alesia Harris, Corey Harris, and Tamika Spence.
