Ada Martha Caroline Williams was born in Stonega (Wise County,) Va. on March 21, 1931 to the union of Walter P. and Jewel Williams. Ada left for eternal life peacefully on Sept. 18, 2014 at Mercy West Rehabilitation Facility.
Ada moved to Cincinnati as a young child with her mother, Jewel Williams. She attended Cincinnati Public Schools. After obtaining her education, she enrolled into Holy Trinity School to enter the convent. Ada was a life-long, faithful servant for the Lord and a wonder sister, aunt and friend to those who knew her.
She loved to give to all orphanage organizations and gave dearly to the church. She also loved watching Looney Toon Cartoons with her nephew; sports and participating in all family activities. She paid special attention to professional tennis to watch Billy Jean Kingв?¦and especially the Williams' sisters.
Ada, a woman of class and virtue, was a wonderful caregiver and head babysitter of the family. Her "children" were her nieces and nephews and her only husband was "God." She dedicated her life in prayer and to the Lord.
Throughout her life, she was a parishioner at St. Peter in Chains Catedral, St. Josephs Catholic Church, St. George Catholic Church, St. Mary's and St. Xavier Catholic Church. In keeping with her caring spirit, she worked as a nurse's aide at Good Samaritan Hospital for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Leara Mae; one aunt, Ethel Etter; two nephews, Melvin Etter and Kendal Jackson. She leaves to cherish her memory a brother, Fred M. Williams; nephews, Fredrick Lewis, and Aaron Williams; nieces, Xenia Fallings and Rachel Taylor. Her loving spirit will also be cherished by a host of other family and friends.
