Teresa Perry Obituary

Teresa Ann Williams Perry, lovingly called ("TT"), was born on August 15, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of Chester and Gentry Mae Williams. She died on September 1, 2015 after a long illness.
She was committed to the study of the Bible, meeting often with her Bible Standard Ministries brethren in small study groups and at general conventions. It was her quest to come to a better knowledge of her Creator and HIS only begotten son with the intent of some day meeting their approval.
TT received her early education from the Cincinnati Public Schools, graduating from Aiken Senior High in 1974. From 1974-1977 she served as a motor pool specialist in the US Army Reserves. TT worked 18 years as an Executive Secretary in the purchasing department of the Drackett Co. Post high school education included studies at Cincinnati Technical College(AA) 1976, Xavier University (BA) 1992, and Georgetown College, where she earned a Masters degree in education in 2005. She was a career teacher, her last assignment before retiring due to illness was teaching with 2nd graders in the Fayette County KY public district.

Teresa was a bit of a private person, serious and thoughtful, but fun-loving and playful, especially known for assigning creative nicknames to family members and friends. She was also a caring and compassionate person who especially loved children. She loved live entertainment, especially theater, teaching people from the cradle to the grave, playing dominoes and consistently making the most strange and interesting number associations!
TT was totally committed to teaching and making sure each student had what they needed to succeed, which required her to spend lots of her personal resources, both in the school building and at home, working around the clock. She was an accomplished writer, composing creative and thought-provoking pieces of prose and poetry. TT loved to teach and loved to learn.
Finally and most importantly, Teresa was an attentive and dutiful daughter, a loyal and loving sister, a giving and faithful friend, and an aspiring child of God whose life is punctuated by the following short verse:
Today I seem to understand
That pain and grief and care,
Are chisels in unseen Hand
That round us into statues fair.
She was preceded in death by her father and nephews; Donald ("Don-Don") Williams and Randy Isaiah Williams. TT leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Gentry ("Mama-Bit"); four brothers, Michael Alan (Linda), Donald, Lawrence (Deborah) and C.L. Tim (Renea) of Memphis, TN; two sisters, Jennifer E. Williams-Scholer (Paul Scholer) and Alice Marie. TT had no children by birth, but served as a surrogate mother to her niece, Ebony Denise Williams of Lexington, KY., and as a surrogate grandmother to Tariq Rashad Williams and Tiara Jade Williams, both of Lexington, KY.
In addition to her mother, siblings, daughter-niece and grandchildren, "TT" leaves to celebrate her memory her в??recovery brother' Frank Maddox (Lexington, KY), long-time companion, David Gipson (Cincinnati, OH); 8 nieces, 8 nephews, 16 grand- nephews, 19 grand-nieces and a host of students and brethren in the Lord.
