Barbara Payne-Carter Obituary
Barbara Jeanette Payne-Carter was born on August 7, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky to the union of Barbara Twitty and Larry Payne Sr. She departed this life to be with The Lord on December 19, 2014.
Barbara grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where she attended Westport High School. Following high school she made a 30-year career working for various companies as a homemaker, housekeeper, caregiver and hair stylist while she raised her five children.
She enjoyed several years of marriage to Leroy Carter, who preceded her in death along with her brother, Larry Payne Jr. Barbara was fun-loving, a jokester and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was also a "secret-keeper" and a wonderful cook. She loved her family, her four-legged companion "L.B." and enjoyed hosting and attending all family gatherings. Barbara attended the House of Refuge Missions with her mother, "Big Barbara" Twitty -Green.
Her loving spirit will always be cherished by her sons, Zohnton Payne Sr., DeShawn Payne, Reginald Payne, Daniel Payne and daughter, Eriazel Payne; siblings, John Payne, Nicea Murray and Katrina (Kevin) Meadows, Cynthia Watlington; grandchildren, Tyen Williams, Zohntone' Payne, Tanaiah Payne, Zion Ester Payne, Zohnton Payne Jr., Zavier Payne, Nigel Payne, Mykell Payne, Daylen Houston, Dayani Houston, Troy Marshall Jr., Jeremiah Payne, Arinda Payne, Brandon Payne and Danielle Payne; great-grandchildren, Tylinn Williams-Payne and Zaiden Payne.
