Mary Joyce (Adams) Wilson was born on November 3, 1944, in Hamilton County, Cincinnati, OH to Coy John Adams and Lonia C. (Norman) Adams. Mary attended Lincoln Heights High School and graduated in May 1962. She began working at the Cincinnati Public Library. She worked multiple jobs until she started work at Ford Motors on July 1, 1974, whereby she retired on April 1, 2005. She transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior on February 18, 2024.
She was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a born-again believer (Christian) most of her life and served at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church up until her death. She served as the director of the hospitality ministry, home visitations ministry and wherever she was needed.
She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the “apples of her eye.” Mary was preceded in death by her brother, William C. Adams and her spouse, James E. Wilson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her brother, Robert D. (Mary) Adams; two daughters, Sonia A. (Anthony L.) Rembert-Parrish and Tracey M. White; grandchildren, Dominek S. (Keith) Parrish-Tubbs, Anthony D. Parrish; Evan L. (Shaniec) Grier; Ebonie D. Grier; Jasmine S. Caldwell, and great grandchildren, Malachi Grier; E’Nyah Walton; Melody Grier; Messiah Grier; De’Mari Palmer, and Serenity Palmer and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She enjoyed her family, hospitality, traveling via cruises and visiting other countries. She made friends wherever she would travel because of her outgoing personality. She is absent from us here on earth, but present with the Lord.
