Celebrating His Spirit. . .
RaShawn Duanne Chalk was born to Carlean Chalk and Michael Stevenson on December 22, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio. RaShawn departed this life to be with The Lord on December 19, 2015.
RaShawn had the spirit of an "old soul '' instilled in him at a young age by his great aunt Rosie Crozier and grandmother, Mary North.
He started his education at the early age of three when he attended Head Start at West End Children's Room. He continued his educational journey at Herberle Elementary School ,where he enjoyed playing the bass drum in the school band. He then was a Senator while attending Robert A. Taft High School.
RaShawn gained a love for fishing at an early age due to the many fishing trips taken with his grandparents, George (deceased) and Arlean Benton. He was a fisherman at heart. Upon learning he was going to be a father ,he spent priceless moments thinking about how to be the best father he could. He began to build a life for himself, his significant other Heather and his sons, Elijah and Peyton. He took every opportunity to make sure that his sons knew their Daddy loves them. RaShawn was a family-oriented man who spent valuable time with his mother Carlean and various other family members.
RaShawn made his living by working for RLA Construction after leaving Rumpke and Cincinnati Sanitation. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him for his contagious smile and spirit. RaShawn was preceded in death by his great uncle Paul Crozier ; great aunt Rosie Crozier ; grandfather, George Benton and uncle Jimmy Stevenson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Carlean Chalk; father, Michael Stevenson; loving sister, Tyshawna Chalk and three other sisters; his significant other, Heather Angel; two sons, Elijah and Peyton Chalk; niece, Brooklyn Chalk and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and other family and friends.
