Celebrating His Spirit
Rev. Billy Wayne Huffaker was born June 3, 1947 to Rev. Cecil H. and Nora B. Huffaker in Clinchco Virginia. He departed this life on January 8, 2018 into the arms of The Lord.
During his youth ,the family relocated to Kentucky and Billy graduated from high school in Everts, Kentucky. Billy was awarded a football scholarship to Virginia State University, where he was known as ,"Bad News Huff," during his college football career. He was drafted from school into the U. S. Army and served his country honorably the Viet Nam conflict.
Billy relocated to Buffalo, N.Y. to work for General Motors. Billy, a robotics engineer , worked for GM for 35 years before retiring from his position in Sandusky, OH. During his stay in Buffalo, he became an ordained Baptist minister.
Billy handled life with prayer, humor , love and with thanks to the Almighty for all he had achieved in his life. He had a big heart and was generous to his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, fishing , boating, reading his bible and listening to reggae music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Cecil Huffaker, Viola Litton, Teressia Huffaker, Hubert Huffaker, Dora Christopher, Morris Huffaker, Bertha Hoyle, Mary Davis, Rev. Floyd C. Huffaker, Willie J. Huffaker and beloved niece Viola Gridiron.
Billy leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Cecilia Latham, twin daughters Indicia and Akirah Huffaker of New York, NY.; grandchildren, Clarissa Lathum, Damisha Parks, Lauren Rousey and Lawrence Rousey, great -grandchildren Ava Lee and Gionni Lee, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; his devoted sister, Doris E. Huffaker and brother-in-law and good friend, Rick Doddy of Cincinnati, OH,; brothers, Rev. Ray Leon Huffaker of Hempstead, NY and Robert Huffaker of Cincinnati, OH, and loving and devoted friend Amber Whitfield of Fairfield, OH.

He also leaves to cherish his memory 62 nieces and nephews, 63 great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
